We understand

Finding a care home is often overwhelming

Many families have to decide quickly, without knowing where to start. That is exactly why we exist.

  • An emotional decision

It is about someone you love. Nobody should have to make this choice alone.

  • No time to compare

Calling care homes one by one takes weeks you do not always have.

  • Hard to judge quality

Every website looks the same. We only put forward homes we have selected, with the CQC report for each one.

  • Fees that are hard to read

Weekly fees, extras, council funding: we compare the prices and help you with the funding questions.

You are not alone.

A care home in Stoke-on-Trent, close to home

The bottle kilns of Longton, the Trent and Mersey Canal and the lake in Hanley Park are part of everyday life in Stoke-on-Trent. When the time comes to choose a care home, many families want to stay close: to the neighbourhood, the shops, the faces they know.

Your adviser knows the care homes in Stoke-on-Trent and the towns around it. They know where places come up, from Tunstall and Burslem to Longton and Trentham, and only put forward homes that match the care needs and the budget of your loved one.

Care homes in Stoke-on-Trent

Help with the fees, which hospitals are close, how far to look: what families in Stoke-on-Trent usually ask first.

  • Help from the council with the fees

After a Care Needs Assessment, Stoke-on-Trent City Council carries out a financial assessment to see what your loved one can contribute. In a care home, some people pay the full cost, while others pay part of it and the council pays the rest.

  • Hospitals nearby

Royal Stoke University Hospital, home to an Emergency Centre and a Major Trauma Centre, is run by University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, which also runs County Hospital in Stafford. Reassuring when your loved one needs regular appointments.

  • Few places nearby? We widen the search

Many families look first in the city, from Hanley to Burslem and Longton. If no place suits, we widen the search to the towns around: Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove, Biddulph, Stone or Cheadle.

Your questions

Questions families ask us

Is the service really free?

Yes. All Care Homes is 100% free for families, with no hidden fee and no commitment. Our partner homes fund the service when a resident moves in. You will not spend a single pound with us at any point of the search.

How quickly will I receive my list?

An adviser gets in touch shortly after you send the form, usually the same working day, to confirm what you need. Your personalised list of homes with a place available follows, most often within 24 hours.

Can you help urgently, for example after a hospital stay?

Yes. Tell us in the form that you need a place in less than a month. Your adviser concentrates the search on homes with a room available right now and can arrange a visit within days.

How is a care home paid for?

Three routes exist: self-funding, local authority funding after a financial assessment, and NHS Continuing Healthcare for people whose needs are primarily health-related. Many families combine them. Your adviser will explain which one applies to your situation and what to ask the council or the NHS.

What happens after I send the form?

A dedicated adviser calls you to understand the situation: the level of care needed, the area, the timing and the budget. They then send a short list of suitable homes with prices and vacancies, and arrange visits with the homes you want to see. They stay available for questions until the move.

Are the homes inspected?

Every care home and nursing home in England is registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which rates them Outstanding, Good, Requires improvement or Inadequate. We only work with homes we have selected for their standards, and your adviser can point you to the latest inspection report for each home on your list.
