See what families say about our service
Hannah was so engaged when we were looking for a suitable home for my father in law. She responded quickly and followed up all enquiries. We would not have found the home without her help.
One phone call put me in touch with Jake, who was immediately able to suggest three care homes in our area. Within 24 hours we had visited the top recommendation and reserved a room.
Hannah was knowledgeable, was careful to understand my wife's needs. She suggested suitable care homes within reasonable travelling distance for me and arranged for me to visit them.
How to make the best choice?
We know it is intimidating. We are here to help

Assess needs and budget
Work out the level of care required: residential care, nursing care or dementia care. Set a realistic budget including fees and possible help such as local authority funding or NHS Continuing Healthcare.
Research and visit
Check ratings on the Care Quality Commission (CQC) website. Visit shortlisted homes to see cleanliness, staff warmth and the daily life of residents.
Make an informed decision
Talk to residents and their families. Read the contract carefully for fees and extra costs, and make sure the home fits long-term needs before you commit.

Your questions
Questions families ask us
Is the service really free?
Yes. All Care Homes is 100% free for families, with no hidden fee and no commitment. Our partner homes fund the service when a resident moves in. You will not spend a single pound with us at any point of the search.
How quickly will I receive my list?
An adviser gets in touch shortly after you send the form, usually the same working day, to confirm what you need. Your personalised list of homes with a place available follows, most often within 24 hours.
What is the difference between a care home and a nursing home?
A care home (residential care) provides accommodation, meals and help with daily living: washing, dressing, medication, company. A nursing home does the same with registered nurses on site around the clock, for people with medical needs that require nursing care. If you are not sure which one is right, tell us in the form and your adviser will help you decide.
Are the homes inspected?
Every care home and nursing home in England is registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which rates them Outstanding, Good, Requires improvement or Inadequate. We only work with homes we have selected for their standards, and your adviser can point you to the latest inspection report for each home on your list.
How is a care home paid for?
Three routes exist: self-funding, local authority funding after a financial assessment, and NHS Continuing Healthcare for people whose needs are primarily health-related. Many families combine them. Your adviser will explain which one applies to your situation and what to ask the council or the NHS.
What happens after I send the form?
A dedicated adviser calls you to understand the situation: the level of care needed, the area, the timing and the budget. They then send a short list of suitable homes with prices and vacancies, and arrange visits with the homes you want to see. They stay available for questions until the move.
